LIght Up

Light Up, a global mental health initiative, was born from a deep concern for the mental well-being of individuals in our society. Despite the persistent reminders about the importance of mental health, it remains a challenge to counteract the prevailing stigma surrounding mental illnesses.​In response to this, I decided to take an active role in creating change. Light Up operates at the intersection of the creative arts and rigorous research, fostering a deeper understanding of the intricate connections between mental health and our broader society. Our primary mission is to combat the stigma surrounding mental health by adopting an interdisciplinary approach, involving areas such as fine arts, literature, social justice, psychology, politics, communications, and more.​ Every member of our dedicated team brings their unique skills and perspectives to the table, addressing mental health issues by bridging the gap between this once-isolated topic and the everyday experiences and current events that shape our lives. As a testament to our commitment, Light Up has grown exponentially, thanks to the passionate individuals who have joined us on this journey. What began as a modest team of two has blossomed into a global community of 500, united by a shared passion for learning, empathy, and the collective pursuit of better mental well-being.
